Can I Go? is built so your details stay with you. There are no accounts, and we never receive what you enter, unless you choose to send us a report.
What you enter
Your passport country, where you live, your residence status, other visas you hold, and optionally your travel dates, document expiry dates and your stays in the Schengen area. If you add other travellers, the same details for them, with an optional nickname. We never ask for your name, passport number, date of birth or photo.
Where it's kept
Only on your device. By default your details are forgotten when you close or reload the app. If you turn on "Remember my details on this device", they're saved in this browser's or app's storage on this device. Either way, they're never sent to us or anyone else.
Removing your details
Turn off "Remember my details on this device", or use "Forget everything on this device" in Settings. Clearing this site's data in your browser, or deleting the app, removes them too.
What we don't do
No accounts, no analytics, no advertising and no tracking cookies. We never sell or share personal data.
What else is saved on your device
Your language choice, and a copy of the visa rules so the app works offline. Neither says anything about you.
Connections
Can I Go? downloads visa rules and translations from our website, and the website's fonts come from our own server, so your browser doesn't contact Google or other third parties. Our hosting provider, Cloudflare, processes your IP address to deliver the website and the app's data and to protect the service from attacks. We don't log or store these requests, and they never include what you've entered. When you open a link to an official source, that government website's own privacy policy applies.
